WEIMARANER
History - the Weimaraner, affectionately known as the Gray Ghost, was developed in Germany in the 19th century for large-game hunting.
Temperament - Weimaraners are friendly, playful, and highly energetic. They can also be stubborn and require and experienced owner willing to work with the dog early and ongoing obedience classes. They are friendly with children, although they may be too energetic for toddlers, and may be reserved or very friendly to strangers, depending on their genetics, training, and socialization. They get along with other dogs but may chase cats if not raised with them. The weimaraner, a study of grace, speed, stamina, energy, and endurance, is used as a pointer and retriever by bird hunters.
Upkeep - Need a brushing once a week. They must be given long, vigorous workouts every day or they will become unmanageable and destructive.
Size - height 23-27 inches, weight 55-85 pounds.
