MINIATURE BULL TERRIER

History - Miniature bull terriers originated in England in the 19th century.

Temperament - Miniature bull terriers are energetic, courageous, and strong-willed companions that require early obedience training.  They love children but may be suspicious of strangers. Most get along with other animals if exposed to them at an early age.  They are happy as long as they are exercised, played with, and included in family activities. If isolated, however, these dogs will develop behavioral problems. They are sweet and spunky. They make great pets for the city and apartment dwellers.

Upkeep - Miniature bull terriers need only quick weekly brushings. They also need a lot of exercise and attention, or they may dig holes, chew, and become destructive in the house.  They enjoy brisk long walks, ball games, and the chance to play with other dogs.

Size - height 10-14 inches, weight 25-35 pounds.
